Actor Rajeev Khandelwal is currently engaged in the promotional activities for his upcoming drama series, ‘Showtime’. Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, the show is being hailed as an “epic saga of legacy and ambition in the world of cinema,” offering viewers a glimpse into the intricate dynamics of the Bollywood industry, including aspects like nepotism and power struggles at the pinnacle.
The ensemble cast features Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles. Speaking about his character in ‘Showtime’, Rajeev Khandelwal shared with ANI, “My character reveals facets of contemporary actors that haven’t been explored before… It delves into the personal and professional life of a superstar.”
In the recently released trailer, Emraan Hashmi portrays the role of an influential film producer, while Mahima Makwana, in the role of a reporter, discusses topics such as nepotism on television.

Executive producers for the show include industry stalwarts Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Mihir Desai.
‘Showtime’ is scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on March 8.
