Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar, renowned for their successful collaborations in films like ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa,’ are reportedly joining forces once again for an upcoming project. The director is said to be in talks with Saif Ali Khan for another venture, speculated to be a gripping thriller.
Industry insiders suggest that Priyadarshan, acclaimed for his expertise in Malayalam thrillers, is considering Saif for the lead role in this new project. According to a report from Pinkvilla, filming is expected to commence around July 2024. Although the script is said to be finalized, casting decisions and production details are still being ironed out. There’s even speculation that Saif might portray a blind character in the film.
If all goes according to plan, Priyadarshan aims to wrap up the thriller with Saif by August, before shifting his focus to a comedy project with Akshay Kumar.
Meanwhile, Priyadarshan’s most recent project, ‘Appatha,’ featuring Urvashi and Sidharth Babu, marked Urvashi’s 700th film milestone.
On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan, who was last seen in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ alongside Prabhas, is currently working on ‘Devara: Part 1,’ starring Jr. NTR.
