As the Kannada film industry faces unprecedented challenges with dwindling theatre attendance, difficulties with OTT platforms, and the closure of single-screen cinemas, prominent figures are turning to spiritual solutions. Film producer Rockline Venkatesh, alongside actor Doddanna, has announced plans to conduct a puja and homa aimed at reviving the industry. “We are experiencing tough times, and when other solutions seem exhausted, seeking divine intervention is our only option,” Venkatesh remarked during a recent media interaction. He emphasized that the ceremony will be held for the overall prosperity of the Kannada film industry. Venkatesh also revealed that a meeting will be convened with artists, directors, and other industry representatives to explore potential measures to address the current crisis. The hope is that these efforts will soon bring some relief to the struggling sector.
