In an exclusive announcement, it has been revealed that Samy Burch, the acclaimed writer known for the film “May December,” has officially signed with WME. Burch’s noteworthy achievements include receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for “May December,” alongside nominations for prestigious accolades such as the WGA and Critics Choice Awards. Notably, Burch clinched the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay and the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Screenplay.
Adding to Burch’s impressive portfolio, the writer recently penned the script for the anticipated Cannes film “Late Fame,” featuring stellar talents Sandra Hüller and Willem Dafoe, under the direction of Kent Jones and produced by Killer Films. Furthermore, Burch’s talents extend to the screenplay for “Coyote vs. Acme,” directed by Dave Green and set to be released by Warner Bros.
