Actress Divya Suresh, known for her work in both television and Kannada cinema, recently shared her perspective on the importance of quality over quantity when it comes to screen time. Suresh, who began her career on the small screen, believes that there are no small parts in acting. “I don’t need to be in a film from the opening sequence till the end. I don’t care about screen time as long as my role is memorable. Even if I appear in just a few scenes, I want my character to have a strong connection with the audience,” she said. Suresh is set to star in her second Kannada film, a romantic comedy titled ‘Nam Gani B.Com Pass 2’, alongside actor Abhishek Shetty. The shooting for the film is scheduled to begin next month.
In addition to her views on screen time, Suresh also commented on the evolving landscape of female-centric roles in cinema. She expressed excitement about the shift towards more well-developed female characters in today’s films. “It’s exciting to see more well-developed characters being written specifically for women these days. It opens up a lot more possibilities for actresses,” she remarked. Suresh, who is currently playing an antagonist in a Telugu serial, believes that actresses should not be limited to playing just the lead female role. She emphasized the importance of a variety of characters that reflect different aspects of human nature in a strong story.
