In a recent interview with Best magazine, Sharon Osbourne, who served as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ during various seasons and ‘America’s Got Talent,’ spoke candidly about her experiences and relationships within the world of reality television.
Osbourne, 71, expressed her decision to never participate in a talent show again, citing concerns about the demanding schedules and the toll it takes on young contestants. She emphasized the unfairness of subjecting children to intense competition and the challenges they face when they inevitably encounter setbacks.
Despite being brought onto both ‘X Factor’ and ‘AGT’ by Simon Cowell, Osbourne clarified that they are not friends. While expressing gratitude for the opportunities he provided, she made it clear that their relationship was professional rather than personal.
Osbourne reserved praise for her fellow judges, expressing admiration for Nicole Scherzinger, describing her as an amazing woman with a big heart. She also spoke fondly of Louis Walsh, calling him a “complete poppet” and a family friend. Gary Barlow received adoration from Osbourne as well.
Reflecting on her past conflicts, Osbourne addressed her well-known differences with Dannii Minogue during their time as judges on ‘X Factor.’ She attributed their strained relationship to having little in common, noting that Minogue didn’t care for her straightforward approach. Osbourne emphasized that while she loves women, some don’t reciprocate the sentiment, suggesting that Minogue might have been uncomfortable with the truth.
In the interview, Osbourne highlighted the contrast in their personalities, stating that Minogue’s flirtatious nature differed from her own. Despite these differences, Osbourne concluded that the only commonality they shared was their gender.
