In a recent development, acclaimed actress Sheena Chohan, recognized for her notable role in the web series ‘The Trial,’ has successfully wrapped up shooting for her debut Telugu film alongside JD Chakravarthy. The upcoming Telugu project, directed by Shravan Jonnada, marks Sheena’s foray into the South Indian film industry.
Renowned for her impactful debut in the Malayalam film ‘The Train,’ starring opposite legendary actor Mammootty and directed by seven-time National Award Winner Jayaraj, Sheena Chohan is set to play a pivotal role alongside JD Chakravarthy in the Telugu film.
JD Chakraborty, Sheena’s co-actor in the project, commended her dedication, stating, “Sheena Chohan is very dedicated, devoted, and is born to be an actor. Her passion and dedication towards her work are great—she is always present and in the moment as an actor.”
Speaking about her role in the Telugu film, Sheena expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I play a crucial role in the film, and I loved the challenge because it is my first film in Telugu. I did extensive in-person research to understand and embody my character. I’m eagerly anticipating the audience’s response, and I can’t wait for them to see it.”
The actress also shared her excitement about venturing into the Telugu film industry and praised director Shravan Jonnada for his support and encouragement. Sheena remarked, “I am living my goal and purpose, and I do the best I can to help people. Meanwhile, Sheena has three more releases lined up for 2024, including ‘Sant Tukaram,’ where she plays the female lead opposite Subodh Bhave, and a short film titled ‘Amar-Prem,’ directed by National Award and Filmfare winner Suvendu Raj Ghosh. The actress is gearing up for a busy year ahead with an array of diverse projects on the horizon.
