In a surprising revelation, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor recently shared a lesser-known chapter from her past, recalling the time she turned down an offer to work alongside superstar Salman Khan. The incident took place when Kapoor was merely 15 or 16 years old and was offered the female lead role in the film ‘Lucky: Not Time for Love’ opposite Khan.
During an interview, the actress reflected on her decision, stating, “I felt that at the age of 15 or 16, I was too young and wanted to finish schooling and attend college. I don’t think getting offers back then has defined my success. But it was difficult to turn it down and focus on studies because it was such a fantastic opportunity to work with Salman Khan.”
Before making her Bollywood debut in 2010 with ‘Teen Patti’, Kapoor pursued her undergraduate education abroad at a university in Boston, working at a coffee shop for extra income. Despite ‘Teen Patti’ not performing well at the box office, she continued her journey in the industry with films like ‘Luv Ka The End’ and eventually gained recognition with Mahesh Bhatt’s offer to star in the successful ‘Aashiqui 2’ opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in 2013.
Since then, Shraddha Kapoor has solidified her position as a leading actress, featuring in notable films such as ‘Ek Villain’, ‘ABCD 2’, and ‘Baaghi’. Despite facing setbacks with certain projects, her career boasts successes like the comedy horror ‘Stree’, the action thriller ‘Saaho’, the comedy-drama ‘Chhichhore’, and the romantic comedy ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’. As she celebrates her birthday, Kapoor’s fan following continues to grow, surpassing even established Bollywood divas like Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon.
