Actor Shreyas Talpade, known for his roles in “Iqbal” and comedy franchises like “Golmaal,” is taking a cautious approach to his career following a recent health scare. Last December, Talpade suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty, leading to a week-long hospitalization. Now, as he continues his recovery, the actor has announced his decision to temporarily refrain from projects featuring intense action or drama sequences.
Speaking to PTI, Talpade emphasized the importance of prioritizing his health, stating, “There are certain limitations right now because my recovery is still in progress.” He revealed that his doctors have advised him to wait another six months before fully resuming strenuous work. Despite this setback, Talpade remains optimistic about his upcoming film releases, including the psychological thriller “Kartam Bhugtam,” set to hit theaters on May 17.
Additionally, Talpade will be seen in various other projects, including “Emergency,” where he portrays former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the Hindi dubbed version of “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” where he reprises the voice role of Pushpa Raj, originally played by Allu Arjun.
Expressing his enthusiasm for diverse roles, Talpade highlighted the importance of breaking away from typecasting in the film industry. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities to showcase different facets of his acting skills.
Regarding the release of his film “Kaun Pravin Tambe?,” Talpade lamented its direct-to-digital release on Disney+ Hotstar, expressing a desire for a theatrical release. Despite this, he remains focused on reaching audiences through various platforms and is hopeful for the success of his projects.
“Kartam Bhugtam,” featuring a talented cast including Vijay Raaz, Madhoo, and Aksha Pardasany, will be released in multiple languages, showcasing Talpade’s commitment to diverse storytelling. Produced by Gandhar Films & Studio Pvt. Ltd., the film promises to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative.
