In Moosa village, celebrations have begun as Balkaur Singh Sidhu and Charan Kaur, parents of the late singer Sidhu Moosewala, have brought their newborn second son, Shubhdeep, home from the hospital. While initial reports indicated that the couple would remain in the hospital for further treatment, it seems both the parents and the newborn are in good health and have been discharged.
A wave of well-wishers from all over is eager to visit the Sidhu household in Moosa village to greet the new arrival. However, adhering to tradition, the family has decided that Shubhdeep should not meet anyone outside the family for the first month and a half of his life. Balkaur Singh, Sidhu’s father, has therefore appealed to everyone to be patient and wait a few more days before meeting the newborn. He expressed understanding for the enthusiasm of friends and well-wishers who may have traveled from afar to meet the baby boy, but emphasized the family’s commitment to traditional practices.
In a heartfelt message shared on his social media, Balkaur Singh Sidhu expressed gratitude for the love and support they have received. He wrote, “With the grace of God and the love of Sidhu’s admirers, we have been blessed with a second son. We will always be indebted to you for your love. We know that everyone has a desire to see the baby and the mother. But according to customs, we will not be able to bring the baby in front of you for a month and a half. Keeping in mind the efforts and precious time you have put in to come from far, we request you all to kindly wait for a few more days. After a month and a half, we will be there to meet everyone and to receive everyone’s love and prayers.”
The couple welcomed their new addition on March 17, 2024, through an IVF procedure.
Renowned singer Gurdas Maan has also paid a visit to the Sidhu Moosewala family to meet the newborn. He commented that the proud parents now have a new reason to live.
Additionally, Balkaur Singh recently shared a video on social media revealing that the government has requested documents to verify that Shubhdeep is their legal son. While Singh has no issues providing the necessary documentation, he has urged the authorities to exercise patience, noting that the couple was still in the hospital during the legal process.
