Writer-director Soorya Krishnamoorthy has showered praise on the latest Malayalam release, ‘Aadujeevitham’, directed by Blessy and featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. Krishnamoorthy hailed sound designer Resul Pookutty and cinematographer Sunil KS as the ‘unsung heroes’ of the film.
Resul Pookutty shared a note on social media, describing the film as a ‘milestone’ in world cinema. The note read, “Beniamin’s classic novel. BLESSY’s classic film. ‘AADU JEEVITHAM’, the masterpiece film by BLESSY, is truly a milestone film in world cinema. This is the fulfillment of his great dream, for realization of which he spent 16 years. Blessy has succeeded in making the impossible possible by creating this world-class cinema in the small state of Kerala. The film is a pride to every serious cinema buff in the country.”
The note further highlighted the exceptional sound design and cinematography, stating, “There are two names that are forgotten in most raving reviews published… Director of Sound, Resul Pookutty, and Director of Cinematography, K.S. Sunil. Their contributions can be described only in the superlative. They are the unsung heroes of the film.”
Krishnamoorthy also lauded Prithviraj Sukumaran, saying, “Prithviraj Sukumaran is surely at his best in this film… What a dedication, what a sacrifice, and what a commitment! He will be remembered for decades through this character.”
The note concluded with a call to cinema lovers, urging them to watch the film in theaters for its real effect and to experience the difference. It thanked Blessy for creating a gem of a movie to be proud of.
In terms of box office performance, ‘Aadujeevitham’ has performed impressively, raking in Rs 8.50 crore from India on its fourth day of release, surpassing its opening day figures.
Additionally, Prithviraj Sukumaran sent a heartwarming message to the family of his late fan, who had wished to watch ‘Aadujeevitham’ but passed away in 2021.
Currently, ‘Aadujeevitham’ continues to run successfully in theaters.
