Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, renowned for her role in the beloved romantic film ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has recently shared her dream casting for a potential remake of the classic movie. In a recent interview with Zoom, Krishnamoorthi expressed her wish to see her daughter, Kaveri Kapur, and Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, in the lead roles if a remake were to be made.
When asked about potential casting choices for a remake of ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’, Krishnamoorthi suggested her daughter, Kaveri, could step into her shoes as the female lead. She also proposed that Aryan Khan could play the role of Sunil, which was originally portrayed by his father, Shah Rukh Khan. Krishnamoorthi had previously mentioned Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt as potential actors for the roles of Sunil and Anna, but she acknowledged that their current age might not be suitable for the characters. She expressed confidence in Aryan Khan’s acting abilities, should he choose to pursue acting.
‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’, directed by Kundan Shah, was released in 1994 and marked the debut of Suchitra Krishnamoorthi alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepak Tijori in leading roles. The film also featured a talented ensemble cast, including Naseeruddin Shah, Rita Bhaduri, Satish Shah, Anjan Srivastava, and Ashutosh Gowarikar. It is widely regarded as one of Shah Rukh Khan’s finest films.
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan has chosen a different path in the entertainment industry. He is currently preparing for his directorial debut with the upcoming series ‘Stardom’. Recent sightings of Aryan filming on location in the streets of Mumbai have fueled excitement among fans and the media. Despite being in front of the cameras, Aryan remained focused on directing the scenes and refrained from posing or reacting to the paparazzi. To maintain tight security and prevent leaks, the production team used large umbrellas to shield the sets during Aryan’s shoot. ‘Stardom’ is rumored to explore the glamorous world of cinema and is expected to feature cameo appearances by real-life celebrities.
