Renowned actor Kamal Haasan is presently immersed in the shooting of his highly anticipated film, ‘Thug Life,’ in collaboration with director Mani Ratnam. This marks their reunion after an impressive 34-year hiatus, fueling excitement among fans. The principal photography has commenced, and director Sudha Kongara recently shared exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses on social media.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Kongara posted images from the sets, capturing the vibrant energy of Mani Ratnam’s domain. In her tweet, she expressed, “Energy Booster – Mani Sir’s sets! #ManiRatnam #ThugLife #KH234” (@Sudha_Kongara).
The buzz surrounding ‘Thug Life’ escalated even before the commencement of shooting, following Kongara’s release of captivating set photos. The film, officially announced in November, features an ensemble cast, including Kamal Haasan, Jayam Ravi, Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha, Gautham Karthik, Nasser, Abhirami, Joju George, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
High expectations surround the movie, attributed to its intense action genre and the musical brilliance of AR Rahman, who composes the film’s soundtrack.
Kamal Haasan, last seen in the 2022 film ‘Vikram,’ eagerly awaits the release of ‘Indian 2,’ directed by Shankar. Additionally, his collaboration with director H Vinoth in the tentatively titled ‘KH 233’ has been temporarily shelved, as announced by the makers on social media.
Meanwhile, director Sudha Kongara has embarked on her next venture, tentatively titled ‘Suriya 43.’ The film stars Suriya, Dulquer Salmaan, and Nazriya Nazim in pivotal roles, with Vijay Varma portraying a negative character. The music for the movie is composed by GV Prakash.
