In a recent interview, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, made a notable reference to a scene from the Bollywood blockbuster “3 Idiots,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film, which starred Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R. Madhavan, continues to hold significance nearly 15 years after its release.
Pichai’s mention of the movie underscores its enduring impact, with its memorable scenes still resonating today. Speaking on the Varun Mayya podcast, Pichai shared insights on moving beyond the competitive exam mindset and emphasized the importance of deeper learning for genuine success. He specifically referenced a scene from “3 Idiots,” where Aamir Khan’s character offers differing perspectives on understanding the concept of a motor.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, “3 Idiots” explores themes of friendship and the pressures of the Indian education system. The film follows the journey of Khan’s character, Rancho, alongside his friends Farhan and Raju, played by R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi, respectively.
