Dhanush is set to grace the big screens with his upcoming film, ‘Captain Miller,’ directed by Arun Matheswaran, scheduled for a Pongal release in 2024. The post-production phase has reached its final stages, with the film’s ultimate version ready for presentation. Clocking in at 2 hours and 40 minutes, ‘Captain Miller’ is poised to undergo the censorship process soon.
Nagooran Ramachandran, who previously edited Arun Matheswaran’s ‘Rocky’ and ‘Saani Kaayidham,’ takes on the editing duties for ‘Captain Miller.’ The looming question is whether the film will undergo significant cuts during the censorship review or pass with minor alterations.
According to the director, ‘Captain Miller’ is slated to command a substantial number of screens globally. Positioned as a periodic action drama, the film unfolds against the backdrop of pre-Independence India, featuring Dhanush in the role of a warrior. The actor, known for his dedication, invested a year of effort into bringing this character to life.
Apart from Dhanush, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Shivarajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Vinoth Kishan, John Kokken, and Nivedhithaa Sathish, among others. GV Prakash Kumar is at the helm of the film’s music composition. As anticipation builds, all eyes are on whether ‘Captain Miller’ will sail smoothly through the censorship process or encounter substantial modifications.
