In the wake of the success of his recent film ‘Leo,’ actor Vijay is currently immersed in the shooting of his upcoming project titled ‘GOAT’ (Greatest of All Time), directed by Venkat Prabhu. This entertaining drama boasts a star-studded cast and has generated much excitement among fans. The unveiling of the first look poster and title on New Year’s Eve, followed by a second look poster on January 1, further fueled anticipation.
However, ‘GOAT’ has hit a roadblock, with reports suggesting that Tollywood director Naresh Kuppillu has raised objections to the film’s title. Allegedly, Kuppillu is already working on a movie with the same title and has initiated promotional activities. Expressing concerns over potential confusion and competition, the director opposes the use of the title by Vijay’s film in such close proximity.
This isn’t the first time Vijay has faced challenges with the title of his films in the Tollywood industry. Previously, his film ‘Leo,’ in collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj, encountered similar hurdles. As of now, the makers of ‘GOAT’ have not issued any statements in response to Kuppillu’s objections.
Originally referred to as ‘Thalapathy 68,’ the film features an ensemble cast, including Vijay, Meenkashi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Sneha, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premji, and Aravind Akash. The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Fans eagerly await further updates on the situation and the film’s progress amidst these title-related challenges.
