In a recent development, actor Mansoor Ali Khan has publicly apologized to his co-actor Trisha after making controversial remarks. The disagreement arose when Trisha expressed her displeasure over statements made by Mansoor Ali Khan. Denied bail by the court, Khan took to social media to seek forgiveness from Trisha.
In his apology statement, Mansoor Ali Khan mentioned a conversation with a woman police officer who informed him that Trisha had been hurt. In response, he expressed his own sense of hurt, stating, “The woman police officer told me that Trisha had been hurt… I told her that even I am.”
In a heartfelt plea to Trisha, Mansoor Ali Khan wrote, “My co-actress Trisha, Please forgive me! May God bless the fortune for me to bless your Mangalyam (marital necklace) as it goes around in the coconut tray in the auspicious marital ritual! Amen.” Trisha, in her indirect response on November 24, indicated her willingness to forgive, tweeting, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.”
The incident stems from Mansoor Ali Khan’s involvement in the latest Tamil film ‘Leo,’ where he expected to share screen space with Trisha. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, he was unable to do so, leading to a misogynistic comment from Khan involving a controversial rape scene in the film. This remark has sparked disappointment within the film industry, prompting support for Trisha from notable figures such as Chiranjeevi, Nithin, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and others. Additionally, the National Council for Women has initiated a suo moto case in response to Khan’s sexist comments.
