‘The Witch and the Beast’ unfolds a mesmerizing tale of mystery and magic, tracing back to its origins. The anime delves into the legacy of powers passed down through generations, as a mysterious man with a coffin and a girl with beastly eyes enter a town, their destinies interwoven in a quest to break a curse. The narrative blurs the lines between captor and captive, initiating an intense dark fantasy that captivates from the very start.
Kōsuke Satake’s manga, which debuted in Young Magazine the 3rd in November 2016, has made a lasting impact with its fantastical narrative. Despite going on hiatus in January 2023, leaving fans eagerly anticipating its return, the manga’s influence remains undeniable.
