The team of Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated film ‘The Greatest of All Time’, also known as GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is currently filming in Russia. Despite returning to India for the Lok Sabha Elections, the team has resumed shooting in Moscow. Director Venkat Prabhu recently spoke to Russian media about the decision to shoot a portion of the film in the Russian capital.
A video of the popular director discussing the film with Russian media has gone viral online, offering fans a glimpse of an action-packed chase scene involving numerous bikers. In the clip shared by a Russian media outlet, Venkat Prabhu explains that Moscow plays a significant role in the film’s storyline. He revealed that Vijay’s character undergoes a major transformation in Moscow, experiencing pivotal realizations and events.
Venkat Prabhu further elaborated on his choice of Moscow as a shooting location, stating that he aimed to provide audiences with a fresh visual experience uncommon in South Indian cinema. He also touched upon the cultural ties between India and Russia, expressing optimism about future collaborations in education, cultural exchanges, entertainment, and various other fields.
The film, which is set to hit screens on September 5, 2024, ahead of Vinayagar Chaturthi, boasts a star-studded cast. Actress Meenaakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead, with Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu, and VTV Ganesh in important roles.
