In a recent media interaction during the trailer launch of another Tamil film, director Venkat Prabhu provided updates on the highly anticipated Tamil movie ‘GOAT’ (Greatest of All Time). Starring Vijay in the lead role, the film commenced its production last year and is currently in full swing.
Director Venkat Prabhu disclosed that the next shooting schedule has begun, with the climax shooting set to take place soon, marking a crucial phase in the film’s production. He emphasized that the overseas location would play a significant role in capturing the essential sequences, leading to the conclusion of the film.
Addressing inquiries about the film’s release plan, Venkat Prabhu hinted at the imminent release of ‘GOAT’ posters during the festive season. He also shared that the film’s first single is slated for release in May this year.
Dispelling rumors that ‘GOAT’ is a remake of the Hollywood film ‘The Gemini Man,’ the director clarified that the movie is unique and features Vijay in a dual role. Venkat Prabhu urged fans not to be confused by the posters showcasing two Vijays, assuring them that it’s a representation of the dual character portrayed by the actor.
‘GOAT’ is anticipated to be a high-octane action entertainer, boasting a star-studded cast, including Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, Parvathi Nair, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu, Premji Amaran, Vaibhav, among others. The film’s music is composed by the talented Yuvan Shankar Raja.
On the professional front, Vijay, after ‘GOAT,’ is reportedly planning to take on just one more film before transitioning to a more active role in politics. The actor recently launched his own political party, marking a significant step in his political career.
