Renowned comedian and actor Vir Das, who recently clinched the International Emmy for his Comedy Special “Vir Das: Landing,” is set to co-direct a feature film while also taking on the role of lead actor and producer. Das, known for his global comedic ventures with performances in 36 countries within a year, shared insights about his Delhi Belly co-star Imran Khan.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Vir Das expressed his confidence in Imran Khan’s potential as a director, stating, “I would get Imran Khan a film unit that will make the film he will direct because I think he’s going to be an amazing director. Whenever he does, if he does, I don’t know if he will, I think he’ll be an amazing director.” Das reminisced about their early days during Delhi Belly, predicting that Imran Khan would helm an extraordinary film in the future.
Imran Khan, who enjoyed early success with films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Storys, and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, faced a career downturn in recent years. His last film, Katti Batti with Kangana Ranaut, released in 2015. However, reports suggest that Imran Khan is actively working on a comeback, and anticipation is building for a potential announcement in 2024.
