In a heartwarming revelation, Bollywood producer Vivek Vaswani, a close ally of Shah Rukh Khan during the early days of his career, disclosed a charming detail about the iconic couple’s wedding. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, hailed as one of Bollywood’s power couples, exchanged vows in the midst of the budding superstar’s hustling phase.
Vaswani, who attended the wedding as a guest, fondly recalled a significant gesture he made towards the newlyweds. Having previously shared living space with Shah Rukh when he was an aspiring actor, Vaswani recounted how, after their wedding, the couple headed to Darjeeling for the shoot of the title track of ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.’
Upon their return, unable to stay at Vaswani’s place, he offered a thoughtful wedding gift—a five-day stay at a Mumbai hotel. Subsequently, Shah Rukh and Gauri transitioned to an apartment owned by filmmaker Aziz Mirza.
Reflecting on the wedding festivities, Vaswani described the event as a delightful affair encompassing delectable food, Hindu and Muslim ceremonies, and a registered wedding—all condensed into a single day. Despite limited interactions with Gauri, he noted her warmth and cordial demeanor.
Shah Rukh Khan, now an iconic superstar, was reportedly paid Rs 50,000 for his role in ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.’ Today, the power couple has solidified their positions in the industry, with Gauri carving a niche as a prominent interior designer. Together, they are proud parents to three children—Aryan Khan, AbRam Khan, and Suhana Khan.
