Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan is currently promoting his latest release, Marco, which has been performing well at the box office in Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu.
As part of its Hindi promotions, he gave an interview to Gujarat First, surprising fans with his fluency in Gujarati. Clips of the interview, where he effortlessly switched between Gujarati, Hindi, and English, went viral on social media, leaving fans impressed with his language skills.
Many praised him as a “real pan-India star” and joked about his ability to compete with Google Translate. In the interview, Unni urged fans in Gujarati to watch the Hindi-dubbed version of Marco in theatres.
Unni’s fluency in Gujarati is rooted in his upbringing, as he spent his school years in Ahmedabad before returning to Thrissur, Kerala, for college.
In 2023, he shared his admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi after meeting him and reminisced about his connection to Gujarat. The actor’s recent projects include Jai Ganesh and Marco in Malayalam and Garudan in Tamil.
Released on December 20, Marco is being described as one of the most violent Indian films. Unni is now working on a Malayalam film titled Get-Set Baby. Fans continue to celebrate his versatility, both as an actor and a multilingual talent.
