Actress Ankita Lokhande has once again captivated audiences with her performance in the latest release ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, starring alongside Randeep Hooda. What’s even more commendable is that she did not charge a single rupee for her role, as revealed by the film’s producer, Sandeep Singh.
Ankita Lokhande is known for portraying significant and impactful characters on screen. From her role as Archana in the popular show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ to portraying Jhalkari Bai in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’, and now as the unsung hero and courageous companion Yamunabai in ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, she has always impressed the audience with her acting prowess.
In a recent interview with a news agency, Ankita shared her approach to choosing such roles, stating, “That comes naturally to me but I don’t choose it purposely.” The film’s producer, Sandeep Singh, praised Ankita’s acting caliber, saying, “Producers like us or Ekta Kapoor, Kangana or Kamal Jain, we all know what kind of caliber she has as an actor. So, we come with those kinds of quality-driven, performance oriented roles to Ankita.”
When asked about not taking any remuneration for her role in the film, Ankita said, “Because he came to me with the film. He is my very dear friend and there were a lot of things going on. Sandeep was already into a lot where he was looking for finance for the film and I was there for him.”
