Arshad Warsi, widely recognized for his role as Circuit in the beloved ‘Munna Bhai’ series, recently addressed the persistent inquiries about a potential third installment. Warsi, who alongside Sanjay Dutt portrayed the iconic duo in “Munna Bhai MBBS” (2003) and “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” (2006), expressed the collective desire to see the series continue.
During a recent interaction, Warsi revealed, “Vidhu Vinod Chopra wants to make it, Raju (Hirani) wants to make it, Sanju (Dutt) wants to do it, I would do it, and the whole country wants to see it, but it’s not being made as of now.”
Acknowledging the passage of time since the last film, Warsi shared insights from discussions with director Rajkumar Hirani, indicating the existence of three promising scripts for the sequel. However, uncertainties persist regarding the project’s realization. Warsi emphasized the necessity for closure, remarking, “Whatever begins has to end. Aisa lagta hai ki humne interval par chhod di hai. Everyone is impatient because it’s not over yet. The ‘Munna Bhai’ series needs to find closure.”
Beyond his involvement in the cinematic realm, Warsi recently graced the small screen as a judge on the 11th season of the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. Reflecting on his return to television after a six-year hiatus, Warsi expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, citing his passion for both dancing and acting. He articulated, “Dancing is not just about physical movements; it should touch the soul, and only then will the audience be able to enjoy it.”
