Renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai has been extended an invitation to the momentous opening ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Expressing his joy, Ghai remarked, “Being part of this historic inauguration fills my heart with immense happiness. The construction of the Shri Ram Mandir is not just a cultural landmark but a testament to the rich heritage and spirituality that our nation embraces.”
The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has scheduled the enthronement of Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Temple at noon on January 22. Ayodhya, revered as the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds profound spiritual, historical, and cultural significance for the people of India.
In addition to Subhash Ghai, invitations have been extended to prominent personalities such as actors Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, and directors Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rohit Shetty, and producer Mahaveer Jain. South Indian celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Dhanush, and Rishab Shetty will also grace the event.
Addressing the participation of artists in the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram Temple, Chief Priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, stated, “It is a good thing; artists should come. Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and many other artists have been invited by the Trust for ‘Pran Pratishtha’. PM Modi is also coming. All the artists who are coming will be welcomed in Ayodhya.”
The trust has extended invitations to 4,000 saints of all sects for the ceremony, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to attend the inauguration. Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony will commence on January 16, a week ahead of the main event on January 22.
A Vedic priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will oversee the main rituals of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla. The period from January 14 to January 22 will be marked as the Amrit Mahautsav in Ayodhya.
To accommodate the expected influx of devotees, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will be organized, and several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust aims to make arrangements for 10,000-15,000 people. Local authorities are diligently preparing for the surge in visitors, implementing enhanced security measures, and making logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.
