Celebrating her 38th birthday today, Deepika Padukone, renowned for her role in ‘Padmaavat,’ once pursued a career in sports before transitioning to modeling. In a revealing old video, the actress shared that her parents allowed her to enter the world of modeling with a condition – she had to complete her graduation first.
In the footage, recorded before a fashion show, Deepika expressed her desire to pursue modeling professionally, but her parents insisted on her finishing her graduation before taking to the catwalk. Despite the offers pouring in, she initially waited until after her 12th grade exams, taking a three-month break, and then delved into the world of modeling.
On the professional front, Deepika is set to star in the sci-fi action film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas. Additionally, she will feature in director Siddharth Anand’s aerial action film ‘Fighter’ opposite Hrithik Roshan, scheduled for release on January 25, 2024.
