In a grand celebration at Guruvayur temple, superstar Suresh Gopi’s daughter, Bhagya, exchanged vows with her fiancé Shreyas Mohan. The traditional Hindu wedding, held at 8:45 am, was a star-studded affair attended by prominent figures from politics and Malayalam cinema.
The radiant bride adorned a red Kancheepuram saree, accompanied by her parents Suresh Gopi and Radhika, while the groom donned a traditional Kerala dhoti and shawl. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the occasion, arriving at the venue after a temple darshan, and personally handed garlands to the newlyweds.
PM Modi, the chief guest, traveled from Kochi to Guruvayur by helicopter before reaching the temple by road. Security measures were stringent to ensure a smooth event.
The wedding witnessed the presence of Malayalam cinema stalwarts, including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Jayaram, Khushboo, Chippy, and director Shaji Kailas. Political dignitaries added to the distinguished guest list.
Bhagya and Shreyas got engaged in July 2023, making their wedding one of the most anticipated events. On this auspicious day, PM Modi also extended his blessings to several other couples who chose to tie the knot at the temple on January 17.
