Mokksha, known for her role in ‘Kallanum Bhagavathiyum’, is set to headline the upcoming horror thriller ‘Chithini’. Directed by East Coast Vijayan, the film has recently unveiled its music team and confirmed a total of four songs.
The music for ‘Chithini’ is composed by Ranjin Raj, acclaimed for his work in the film ‘Joseph’. Director East Coast Vijayan took to social media to share insights into the film’s musical offerings. He highlighted one of the songs as a classical masterpiece with Sanskrit lyrics, penned by the renowned lyricist Santhosh Varma and performed by the emerging vocalist Sathya Prakash.
Vijayan also spoke about another song infused with tribal rhythms, written by Suresh Poomala from Vayanadu and sung by Subhash Krishna and Anavadya. Additionally, the director mentioned two romantic melodies written by himself, known for his romantic songwriting featured in various albums like NINAKKAI, AADYAMAI, ORMAKKAI, SWANTHAM, INIENNUM, AND ENNENNUM.
He expressed gratitude towards Ranjin Raj and Santhosh Varma for their support in bringing his compositions to life. The songs also feature the vocals of Hari Sanker and a duet by the rising stars Kapil Kapilan and Sana Moidutty. Musicians Rajesh Sharma and Lakshmi Priya are also part of the musical ensemble.
Mokksha expressed her love for the Malayalam language, stating, “Malayalam feels like my native language now.”
‘Chithini’ is anticipated to release in 2024.
