As of 2 PM, approximately 741 shows were tracked, with 35,740 tickets sold, grossing an impressive Rs 55.83 lakh. These figures set the stage for a successful theatrical debut.
The anticipation for ‘Abraham Ozler’ is heightened by the inclusion of a cameo appearance by Mammootty, adding an extra layer of excitement for the audience. The movie revolves around the personal and professional aspects of seasoned cop Abraham Ozler, ACP Trichur, who finds himself thrust into a mysterious serial killing investigation.
In an interview with The Indian Express, director Midhun Manuel Thomas shed light on the significance of the name ‘Ozler,’ derived from the renowned Canadian physician William Osler, often hailed as the ‘Father of Modern Medicine.’ Thomas explained the initial concept, where Abraham Ozler’s father, a doctor himself, named his son after his favorite physician, envisioning a future career in medicine for him.
