Fahadh Faasil’s latest film “Aavesham,” directed by Jithu Madhavan, continues to draw audiences to theaters, marking significant success at the box office. On its twenty-fourth day since release, the film recorded a notable Rs1.80 crore in net revenue in India alone, contributing to its impressive total of Rs 77.20 crore in net earnings domestically within the same timeframe.
The film, featuring Fahadh Faasil, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sajin Gopu in lead roles, has been praised for its unique storyline and performances. Overseas collections for the first 24 days amounted to a substantial Rs 52 crore, pushing the film’s total worldwide earnings to an impressive Rs 141.80 crore.
Despite being in theaters for over three weeks, “Aavesham” maintains its momentum with a solid occupancy rate, recording 43.60% overall Malayalam occupancy on its twenty-fourth day. The morning shows saw 25.40% occupancy, while afternoon, evening, and night shows witnessed turnouts of 42.54%, 48.11%, and 58.35% respectively.
Critics have lauded Fahadh Faasil’s portrayal of Ranga in the film, with ETimes rating it 3.5 out of 5. The film has been described as a unique comedy by director Jithu Madhavan, known for his earlier work in the horror genre with “Romancham.”
