In a love story that has become the envy of many, Vinay Gowda and Akshatha’s journey to eternal love began in their childhood. The couple reminisces about their early encounters, with Vinay sharing, “Akshatha and I met when we were very young. She lived in Chikkamagaluru, and I would meet her every time my father had to visit the area. That’s how it began.”
However, as they entered college, the challenges of maintaining their connection grew. Vinay recalls the difficulties, saying, “Akshatha used to stay at the police quarters in Chikkamagaluru. I would ride across NICE Road as often as I could to meet her. Her father was very strict. On the days he was around, I would only be able to catch a glimpse of her while she was standing near the gate just to say hi to me.”
Despite the hurdles, their relationship flourished over the years, and there was no official proposal. Vinay describes the organic evolution of their connection, saying, “Our relationship bloomed over so many years and so organically that I don’t think there was an official proposal between us. Being together was a given.”
The couple found solace in long bike rides, utilizing the arterial roads near Vinay’s house as their meeting place. Vinay fondly remembers the small eateries along these roads where they enjoyed treats like pani puri and bhel puri.
However, their journey was not without challenges. Due to family concerns, there was a four-year period during which they could not meet. Vinay was sent to stay in Mumbai, but their love endured. Akshatha reflects on the difficult times, stating, “Once we managed to get in touch again, there was no looking back. We got married at a temple in RT Nagar. It was a simple marriage, attended by very few people.”
Vinay and Akshatha’s enduring love story serves as an inspiration for those seeking true love, showcasing the strength and resilience that can overcome even the toughest obstacles.
