Guy Ritchie’s newest project, “Wife And Dog,” is making waves at the Cannes market alongside Black Bear. Plot details are closely guarded, but it promises to explore class dynamics, akin to Ritchie’s recent Netflix series, “The Gentlemen.”
Fresh from directing the star-studded action-comedy “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” and “The Gentlemen,” Ritchie is keeping busy. He’s currently working on the Apple film “Fountain Of Youth” and wrapping up post-production on the Black Bear project “In The Grey.”
“The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” boasts a cast including Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, Henrique Zaga, Alex Pettyfer, Cary Elwes, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, and Til Schweiger, with Black Bear also involved in the production.
Black Bear Productions is making a splash at Cannes, unveiling a slew of projects. Among them are David Michôd’s film on Christy Martin starring Sydney Sweeney, Gregg Araki’s thriller “I Want Your Sex” featuring Olivia Wilde, and the high-budget thriller “77 Blackout” starring Mahershala Ali and Tom Hardy, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and produced by Charles Roven. Also on their roster is an untitled film starring Jason Statham and directed by Baltasar Kormakur.
