Popular filmmaker Joshiy’s latest cinematic venture, ‘Antony,’ starring Joju George and Kalyani Priyadarshan, premiered on the big screens on December 1. The film has been met with favorable reviews from the audience, particularly praising Kalyani Priyadarshan’s compelling performance, especially in the adrenaline-pumping action scenes.
Taking to Instagram, Priyadarshan reflected on her challenging journey for the role and shared insights into the authenticity of her performance. “There is no growth in your comfort zone. And there is no comfort in your growth zone. This is one thing I have come to understand of late,” she wrote in a post.
In ‘Antony,’ Priyadarshan portrays the character of Ann Maria, a college-going woman with MMA training. Describing her rigorous preparation, she revealed, “The punches were real. The kicks were real. The bruises were real. The injuries were real. The tears were real. The smiles were real… The blood, however, was not real.”
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, she thanked the audience for their enthusiastic response to the film. “Thank you guys for the claps. Thank you guys for the screams. And most of all, thank you for being kind and loving towards Ann.. #Antony In cinemas out now,” she added.
Directed by Joshiy, ‘Antony’ also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Vijayaraghavan, Nyla Usha, and Asha Sharath in pivotal roles.
