Renowned fashion designer Neeta Lulla recently unveiled her latest collection at the Bombay Times Fashion Week’s curtain raiser. The collection seamlessly merges contemporary fashion with traditional ethnicity, reflecting Lulla’s signature style.
Speaking about her collection, Lulla highlighted its lighter, more contemporary femininity, drawing inspiration from the Edwardian era. The collection features a blend of vintage laces, brocades, and broderie, adorned with whimsical ruffles and dreamy fabrics, complemented by a vibrant palette of summer colors and pastel hues. Lulla emphasized that the collection caters not only to modern brides but to any woman seeking opulence and historical allure in her wardrobe.
During the showcase, special attention was given to the blouses, which Lulla described as holding a “special place” in the collection. She emphasized intricate detailing such as delicate embroidery and unexpected textures to make each blouse a statement piece.
Shanaya Kapoor, soon-to-be actress and the show-stopper for Lulla’s collection, received praise from the designer. Lulla commended Kapoor’s captivating presence and her embodiment of the modern elegance showcased in the collection. Despite the pressure of being a showstopper, Kapoor handled the lengthy outdoor walk with poise and confidence, marking her debut walk for House of Neeta Lulla.
