Raai Laxmi Set to Make Malayalam Cinema Comeback After Six-Year Hiatus
Renowned actor Raai Laxmi is gearing up to make a return to the Malayalam film industry after a hiatus of six years with her upcoming movie “DNA.” In the film, she will portray the character of Rachel Punnoose, an IPS officer. Scheduled for release on June 14, the makers are eyeing a festival launch during Bakrid.
This marks Raai Laxmi’s comeback to M-Town since her last appearance in the 2018 film “Oru Kuttanadan Blog,” where she starred opposite Mammootty.
Directed by T.S. Suresh Babu, “DNA” is anticipated to be a gripping suspense crime thriller. Reflecting on her return to the Malayalam industry, Raai Laxmi expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I have made my mark in the South Indian film industry, particularly Malayalam cinema. Working in the Malayalam film industry is a significant validation for any actor due to its emphasis on content.”
