In a recently surfaced interview video, veteran actor Harisree Ashokan sheds light on alleged on-set misconduct by fellow actor Mansoor Ali Khan during the filming of ‘Sathyam Sivam Sundaram,’ sparking discussions within the Malayalam film industry.
The resurfaced footage reveals an incident in which Mansoor Ali Khan, portraying the antagonist, reportedly delivered actual physical blows during a scene involving Harisree Ashokan and actor (Cochin) Haneefa. Harisree Ashokan describes the unexpected aggression, citing Mansoor Ali Khan’s forceful actions on the set, particularly at a bus stand.
Initially, Harisree Ashokan cautioned Mansoor Ali Khan against using excessive force, but when the alleged behavior persisted, the Malayalam actor confronted him firmly, insisting on an end to real physical contact during filming.
Expressing his dismay over the incident, Harisree Ashokan stated that if Mansoor Ali Khan repeated such behavior, he wouldn’t return to Madras. The surfaced video, shared by Forum Reelz on November 18, 2023, has reignited discussions about Mansoor Ali Khan’s conduct, with comments expressing concern about a lack of change in his behavior over the years.
‘Sathyam Sivam Sundaram,’ released in 2000 and directed by Meccartin, stars Kunchacko Boban alongside Harisree Ashokan, Cochin Haneefa, Jagathy Sreekumar, Aswathi Menon, and Balachandra Menon. Mansoor Ali Khan played the villainous character Andhra Ponnan in the film.
The resurfacing of the video comes amid controversy surrounding Mansoor Ali Khan’s controversial comments about actress Trisha. In response, Mansoor Ali Khan issued a clarification, denying any derogatory intent towards his female co-stars and attributing the controversy to misrepresentation.
