Celebrating the Second Anniversary of ‘Atrangi Re’: Sara Ali Khan Expresses Gratitude to Co-Stars and Director
Bollywood star Sara Ali Khan recently marked the two-year milestone of the romantic fantasy drama ‘Atrangi Re’ with a heartfelt note dedicated to her co-stars Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and director Aanand L Rai. The film, directed by Rai, revolves around the captivating tale of Rinku (played by Sara), who is in love with the magician Sajjad (Akshay), while being forcefully married to Dr. Vishu (Dhanush).
To commemorate the occasion, Sara shared previously unseen photos from the film’s shoot, showcasing her remarkable transformation into the character from Bihar. The collection of images features candid moments with her co-stars Akshay and Dhanush, as well as glimpses of the dedicated crew and the director.
In her Instagram post, the 28-year-old actress expressed her gratitude, stating, “2 years to Atrangi Re… From before lockdown, in another time… Bihar was Rinkus – she was mine… So lucky that @dhanushkraja and @akshaykumar sir and I could align And make something so special, so divine…. Thank you @aanandlrai for giving us so much love & making us shine.”
Sara also took to Instagram Stories, reminiscing about the shoot in December 2020 and expressing her sentiments about missing those moments in December 2023.
The film, released on December 24, 2021, is currently available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
On the professional front, Sara Ali Khan is set to feature in upcoming projects such as ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan,’ ‘Metro… In Dino,’ an untitled project by Jagan Shakti, and ‘Murder Mubarak.’
