Salman Khan’s safety was once again called into question as two individuals on a motorcycle fired gunshots outside his residence in Bandra’s Galaxy Apartments on the morning of April 14. CCTV footage captured the two individuals fleeing the scene on their bike following the incident. In response to the heightened security concerns, several celebrities have condemned the attack.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, the President of the Indian Film & TV Directors Association, spoke out against the incident, telling ETimes, “There has been a threat perception on the life of Salman Khan for a long time. He has previously been threatened by Khalistani organizations, which is why the state of Maharashtra has provided him with adequate security. Previously, a threatening letter to his life was also found. The audacity of the two bikers who fired outside his house shows the brazenness with which these criminals operate, especially those who have threatened him before.”
Pandit expressed confidence that the bikers would be apprehended soon, stating, “I am sure that the state of Maharashtra and the Mumbai police will soon catch these two bikers who fired outside his house. On behalf of the Indian Film and Television Directors Association and the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPAA), I would like to express our concern for Salman Khan’s safety, protection, and dignity. I am confident that the state of Maharashtra will take appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur.”
Additionally, according to reports, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has spoken to Khan and instructed the Commissioner to enhance the actor’s security.
