Malayalam Cinema’s Remarkable Revival with ‘Manjummel Boys’ Crossing Rs 17.90 Crores in Just 5 Days
In a spectacular resurgence for Malayalam cinema, this year has witnessed a series of consecutive blockbusters, and the latest entrant to this success streak is Chidambaram’s ‘Manjummel Boys.’ The film, inspired by a real-life incident in the infamous Guna Caves, commonly known as ‘The Devil’s Kitchen,’ has amassed a staggering Rs 17.90 crores within the initial five days of its release.

As reported by the latest updates on the Sacnilk website, ‘Manjummel Boys’ exhibited an outstanding performance at the box office, securing an estimated Rs 15.60 crores in net collections across India in the first four days.
The film continued to build on its success on the fifth day, adding an extra Rs 2.40 crores (early estimates). The day-wise collections reveal a consistent upward trajectory, with Day 1 notching Rs 3.3 crores, Day 2 at Rs 3.25 crores, Day 3 at Rs 4.25 crores, Day 4 at Rs 4.7 crores, and Day 5 at Rs 2.40 crores.
Remarkably, ‘Manjummel Boys’ achieved an impressive 39.08% Malayalam occupancy on Monday, February 26, 2024. The film’s fifth-day occupancy in theaters demonstrated robust figures across various show timings – Morning Shows: 22.13%, Afternoon Shows: 34.52%, Evening Shows: 44.02%, and Night Shows: 55.66%.
Featuring a stellar cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, and others in lead roles, the movie has captivated audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar performances.
