In the ongoing investigation of the shooting incident at Salman Khan’s residence on April 14, Mumbai Police have made significant progress. Two suspects, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, were recently transferred to judicial custody after their police custody expired on May 8. The decision was made by a Special MCOCA court, extending their custody until May 27.
Advocate Amit Mishra, representing the accused, expressed dissatisfaction with the court’s decision, suggesting a possible bias in the proceedings. He highlighted discrepancies in the handling of the case, particularly regarding the absence of other accused during the recent court appearance.
Meanwhile, a fifth suspect, Rafiq Chaudhary, was apprehended by the Mumbai Crime Branch in Rajasthan. Chaudhary allegedly took videos of Salman Khan’s residence and forwarded them to Anmol Bishnoi.
Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, addressed concerns surrounding the incident, downplaying its significance in an interview with CNN News 18.
The investigation gained traction when the first images of the gunmen surfaced on social media, believed to be extracted from CCTV footage. This development provided crucial leads in the case.
In the midst of the ongoing investigation, Salman Khan announced his next project, ‘Sikandar,’ in collaboration with filmmaker AR Murugadoss, signaling a focus shift towards his professional endeavors.
