In a noteworthy shift from behind the camera to the forefront, director Sree, known for his work in the 2014 crime thriller “Damaal Dumeel,” is now making waves as the lead actor in Ghiththa Mohhan’s debut film, “Theedhum Soodhum.” The film, produced by Sree himself, boasts a gripping narrative that explores the intricate interplay between love and destiny.
Sree shares the screen with Angana Arya and Avinash, portraying the character of Shiva, a man deeply entwined in a love story that takes an unexpected turn. The plot unfolds as Shiva’s love for Jessie becomes entangled in a complex web woven by Jessie’s father, Lawrence. Determined to reunite with Jessie, Shiva forms an alliance with the enigmatic criminal Umar, unknowingly placing Jessie’s life in peril.
Speaking about the storyline, Sree reveals, “In the story, Shiva is deeply in love with Jessie, but their love is separated by Jessie’s father, Lawrence. To reunite with Jessie, Shiva collaborates with the criminal Umar, putting Jessie’s life at risk. Umar comes up with a plan involving Shiva to extort money. How these three get caught in another person’s plan leads to a thrilling climax.”
The ensemble cast includes acclaimed actors such as Sreenivasan, Krupa, and Baby Takshika. The film’s cinematography is skillfully handled by Paranthagan, while the musical score is composed by Pranav Giridharan.
