Vijay, a leading figure in the South Indian film industry, has consistently dominated the box office with his blockbuster hits. His foray into the digital realm began just eight months ago, marking his official entry on Instagram in April. Within this short span, the actor has garnered an impressive 10 million followers, securing his position as the second most-followed Kollywood actor on Instagram.
Silambarasan currently leads the pack with 12.4 million followers, but Vijay’s rapid ascent suggests that he may soon claim the top spot.
Beyond the glitz and glamour of the silver screen, Vijay actively engages with his fan base on social media, frequently sharing updates about his films. His latest Instagram post showcased a philanthropic side, urging his fan club, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, to support cyclone-affected communities. In response, the fan club mobilized efforts to provide food supplies and rescue stranded individuals in flooded areas.
On the professional front, Vijay is currently immersed in the production of his upcoming film with director Venkat Prabhu, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68’.
