According to sources cited by News 18, despite the allure of collaborating with Johar, Lokhande declined the opportunity for reasons undisclosed.
The ‘Student Of The Year’ franchise, known for launching fresh talent, is set to make its debut in the digital realm with its third installment. Initially hitting screens in 2012, the franchise introduced Bollywood to newcomers Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan. Its sequel, released in 2019, starred Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria.
Karan Johar, during the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF) in Chandigarh, confirmed the transition of the ‘SOTY’ series to digital platforms. He disclosed that director Reema Maya, known for ‘Nocturnal Burger’, will helm the web series, promising a fresh perspective aligned with her creative prowess.
Amid speculations surrounding potential castings, including Shanaya Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan, official confirmations are yet to be announced regarding their involvement in ‘Student Of The Year 3’.
