At the trailer launch event for the forthcoming movie ‘Crew,’ director Rajesh Krishnan openly acknowledged drawing inspiration from real-life occurrences, hinting at the turbulence within the airline industry. Featuring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon, the film appears to mirror the unfortunate tale of Vijay Mallya’s Kingfisher Airlines shutdown, although refraining from explicitly mentioning any specific airline.
During the event, Krishnan responded to questions about the film’s inspiration, stating, “Primarily, I believe it’s heavily influenced by real-life events. We are currently witnessing a challenging period for the airline industry, facing ongoing turbulence due to various reasons.”
Further explaining, the filmmaker shed light on the complex challenges faced by the airline industry. He remarked, “Upon delving into the historical context and attempting to grasp the situation, one often encounters differing perspectives on why airline companies are suddenly facing setbacks. Nevertheless, considering the human element and the broader environmental factors at play, the narrative primarily draws from real-life incidents.”
Scheduled for theatrical release on March 29, ‘Crew’ promises to deliver a captivating storyline intertwined with real-world events.
