Tejasswi Prakash, the winner of Bigg Boss 15 and renowned for her role as TV’s naagin, has decided to take a break from the small screen. In an exclusive interview, she revealed her desire to explore different mediums, stating, “I want to explore different mediums. But as they say, never say never. I have learnt it from life, and I have learnt it the hard way. So, I am not going to say that I will never do a TV show. After all, it has made me who I am today. If done in the right manner wherein you pick the right shows, then you certainly get recognition. People know me, but now I want that to translate into something else. So yes, I have taken a break from television.”
Despite her success in television, Tejasswi is yet to secure a project in Bollywood. Discussing the challenges of breaking into the film industry, she remarked, “Yes, it is tough, but people have done it, and so, I feel I can do it too. It might take a little longer, but it is not impossible.”
Tejasswi has also ventured into Marathi cinema, featuring in films such as “Mann Kasturi Re” and “School College Ani Life.” She shared her experiences in the industry, noting, “My parents wanted me to do Marathi films, so I did it for them and loved the whole experience. You get to learn so much from it. I feel in the Marathi film industry, acting is taken very seriously because most of the actors there are so well-prepared. Also, they are predominantly stage actors, which is why they are so confident, fluent in the language and have a great command over their accent.”
On a personal note, Tejasswi has been dating Karan Kundrra for over two years, with their relationship beginning in the Bigg Boss house. When asked about potential wedding plans, she humorously responded, “I have worn enough lehengas on the ramp during fashion shows. I am not sure how much time it will take for me to wear the lehenga (laughs).”
