Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s latest venture, titled “Kadhalikka Neramillai,” featuring the dynamic duo Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen, promises a nostalgic twist as it revives the classic 1964 rom-com directed by Sridhar.
In a delightful turn of events, the team behind the upcoming romantic film, “Kadhalikka Neramillai,” helmed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, has successfully secured the title from the makers of the iconic 1964 rom-com directed by Sridhar. The film, set to evoke the spirit of timeless romance reminiscent of cinematic gems like “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa,” “O Kadhal Kanmani,” and “‘96,” commenced its shooting journey two months ago in Chennai.
AR Rahman, the maestro of melodies, is lending his musical prowess to the project, reuniting with the production house after his previous collaboration on “Maamannan,” starring Udhayanidhi Stalin. The much-anticipated songs are scheduled to be filmed in the picturesque locales, adding another layer of magic to the narrative in January and February.
TJ Bhanu, known for her notable work in “Guns & Gulaabs,” is set to play a pivotal role in the film, joining a stellar cast that includes Yogi Babu, Vinay Rai, Malayalam actor Lal, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, singer Mano, and Vinodhini Vaidyanathan in supporting characters. Notably, Lal and Mano will portray the endearing father figures to the leads, adding familial depth to the storyline.
The film has successfully wrapped up two schedules, with most of the talkie portions captured, leaving only the climax to be filmed in the subsequent shoots.
