In a shocking incident early Sunday morning, two unidentified men fired gunshots outside the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The incident has raised serious concerns about security in the city, prompting public outcry and questions from netizens.
Actress Pooja Bhatt expressed her condemnation of the attack and called for increased surveillance in the Bandra locality. Taking to her social media account, she described the incident as “horrific and condemnable.” Bhatt highlighted the apparent lack of safety measures, noting that the shooting occurred despite a police van being stationed outside Khan’s residence for protection. She emphasized the need for stricter surveillance in Bandra, referencing previous incidents of robberies in the area. Bhatt tweeted, “Horrific and condemnable. If this can happen with a police van parked outside the Khan residence for protection then it is fair to say that safety is an illusion. Need more stringent surveillance in Bandra for certain. Robberies were rife a while ago and now a shoot out? Scary.”
The Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have registered a case against an unknown person. Salman Khan was present at his residence when the shooting occurred. Police have deployed multiple teams to track down the suspects and are collaborating with forensic experts to piece together the details of the incident. Following the incident, Salman Khan reportedly spoke with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over the phone, leading to increased security measures outside his residence.
In response to the incident, a heightened police presence has been deployed outside Salman Khan’s residence to ensure his safety.
