Pruthvi Shamanur, a budding actor in the Kannada film industry, is successfully juggling his acting career with his college studies in Davangere. He emphasizes the importance of education in his life, stating, “Whenever there’s a break from shooting, I catch up on classes. My college is very supportive. Education is crucial for me to gain deeper knowledge, especially in films. It involves a lot of script reading, character development, understanding technical aspects, and keeping up with the ever-growing content stream.”
Currently filming his second movie, “Udaala,” Pruthvi appreciates the welcoming environment of the Kannada film industry for new talent. “I was just 17 when I first faced the camera and I was so nervous. The welcoming nature around me helped me beat the jitters. Now, that initial nervousness is gone. I’ve improved my sense of framing and improvisation skills. Starting young in the industry gives you time to develop your craft, and the fear of failure isn’t as crippling. This allows for a more positive mindset when choosing scripts,” he shares.
Directed by Amol Patil, Pruthvi’s upcoming film, “Udaala,” is set entirely in North Karnataka. In this movie, he will share the screen with Hrithika Srinivas.
