Bollywood icon Salman Khan made a discreet return to Mumbai late last night following a brief trip to London for professional engagements. Accompanied by his security entourage, Khan bypassed the paparazzi upon arrival at Kalkina Airport, opting for a swift departure to his residence. Dressed casually, the star drove home after landing at a private terminal.
His return coincided with developments in a shooting case, as one of the accused reportedly died by suicide. Anuj Thapan, implicated in supplying firearms to the shooters, was allegedly found hanging in police custody. Amidst allegations of foul play from the deceased’s family, the state’s CID has assumed control of the investigation.
Later, Thapan’s body underwent postmortem examination at J J Hospital, with demands from his village’s Sarpanch for the procedure to occur outside Mumbai due to perceived influences. Allegations of coercion and framing by Khan’s supporters surfaced, contrasting with the ongoing police inquiry.
Meanwhile, Khan continued with his professional commitments, meeting with UK Member of Parliament Barry Gardiner during his London sojourn. The actor is anticipated to commence work on his upcoming project ‘Sikandar’, directed by AR Murugadoss.
